Day 323 - September 19th

Freaky natural wonder in the middle of the Appalachians.
Charmander?

Day 320 - September 16th

I noticed a whole crowd of little white tufts wiggling in the wind and upon further investigation...
...I discovered they are bugs! Can anyone identify them?

Cute caterpillar on the rail. I'm digging his moustaches.
The AT is rife with local water sources that are perfect for refilling water or swimming!

Looking For America in the Wild

I received a brief text message from Sam asking me to post a note saying he was about to take a route through the wilderness of a short section of the Appalachian Trail, and that he will be out of cell phone range with no posts for a short while. He promised to double up his blog entries upon returning to civilization.
