Do you recall where you were and the feelings you had upon learning about the towers? I was driving in the country, just coming into a small town and it came on the local NPR station. I had to pull over and just sit, then cry and then sit there staring at the sky for a long time that September late morning. I have no words to describe what I felt, so empty and hopeless and wondering what it meant for this country and its place in the world. Everything seemed so tenuous and uncertain and I recall wondering we would ever be "okay" again...
